Area of Experise: Model developer (lower trophic level)

Summary of experience | Tian Tian’s research involves investigating the responses of marine ecosystems to environmental changes and marine spatial modelling of hydrodynamics, biogeochemical cycles and fish early life history stages in estuaries, coastal and shelf seas. Her current research interests focus on the impact of using satellite-derived optical depth, shaped by SPM and CDOM, on the predictability of plankton dynamics.

Role in OPEC | WP2: a novel application in using satellite-derived optical depth to construct more realistic underwater light fields in operational biogeochemical model system.
WP4: a novel application in seasonal ecological forecasts by using high-resolution interactive coupled ocean-atmosphere models
